Representing
a cross-section of more than 1,400 retailers, manufacturers and
service providers, the Holland Area Chamber of Commerce is the
voice of area businesses.
The Chamber is committed to its mission of promoting a high
quality of life for local businesses and the entire community by
defining, developing, and implementing programs and services that
expand investment and job opportunity, and add to the economic
activity in the greater Holland area.
Chamber membership brings heightened public exposure for your
business. The Chamber is constantly contacted for information
about where to find goods and services in our area, and part of
the Chamber's job is to help those potential customers find you.
The Chamber's annual Business to Business Showcase is an
opportunity to show off your business's products. The Chamber's
Early Bird Breakfasts, Governmental Affairs Breakfasts,
Manufacturer's Council and Leadership Holland program offer
excellent opportunities for networking.
The Holland Chamber newsletter, send
to almost 3,000 local decision-makers, features the latest
information about area businesses and events. The annual Business
Directory, of which 15,000 copies are printed, is distributed to
all Chamber members, area libraries, local agencies and
individuals from throughout the world requesting information about
our community. Chamber members are kept abreast of the latest
developments in technology, legislation and business practices
through Chamber-sponsored seminars, guest speakers and workshops.
Chamber members have access to a number of business-related
products, including reduced rates on workers compensation, as well
as health and long-term care insurance. Discounts are available on
cellular telephone service, long distance service, Airborne
Express and internet connection.
The Holland Area Chamber of Commerce has been on-line since 1996,
and its home page www.hollandchamber.org offers a wealth of
information about the Holland area. Chamber members receive a free
link to their website from the Chamber's website, and member
organizations are eligible for free and reduced-rate computer
training.
The backbone of the Chamber is its seven committees: Ambassadors,
Meetings, Small Business, Technology, Healthy Workforce,
Environment & Infrastructure and Governmental Affairs. By
volunteering on a committee, Chamber members can affect real
change in the community. Under the leadership of an elected board,
day-to-day operations are administered by the Chamber's dedicated
and professional staff.
If you have a Holland area business, or are thinking of locating
one here, stop by the Holland Area Chamber of Commerce. We want to
hear what you have to say.
